2. Outside Diameter “O.D.”, of
roll grooved tubing shall not
vary more than the toler-
ance listed. The maximum
tolerance from square cut 6 ends is: 0.030˝ (0.76 mm)

 for sizes 2˝ to 3˝ (DN50 to DN80); 0.045˝ (1.14 mm) for sizes 4˝ to 8˝ (DN100 to DN200); measured from true square line.
3. Gasket Seating Surface “A”, must be free from roll marks, indentations, pro- jections, loose scale, dirt, chips, grease, etc. that would prevent a positive seal.
4. Groove must be free of loose dirt, chips and scale that may interfere with proper coupling assembly.
5. The Groove Diameter “C”, must be uniform in depth for the entire circumference of the tubing. Groove must be maintained within the tolerance listed.
6.
7.
8.
Groove Depth “D” is a refer- ence dimension of the distance from the pipe outer surface to the groove bottom, with re- gards to groove concentric- ity about the pipe. This dimen- sion is a reference only. The actual dimension “C” must be maintained.
Minimum Wall Thickness “T”, per ASTM B-306 drain waste and vent (DWV), is minimum wall thickness copper tubing which may be roll grooved. Maximum flare diameter is the O.D. at the most extreme tub- ing diameter.
