GRINNELL SOLUTIONS: In Plain Township, just outside of Canton, OH, construction of the new GlenOak High School and Community Campus began in May of 2004. This state-of-the-art facility, which opened in the spring of 2006, brings together grades 9 to 12 into one educational center. At the same time, the high school involves the surrounding community with the inclusion of a municipal library branch, career service center and more. The 371,000 square foot high school has a budgeted construction cost of $37 million once complete. Feinman Mechanical was chosen to supply and install the completed piping package for the hot and chilled water systems. Challenged with an accelerated construction schedule, Feinman Mechanical decided to partner with Tyco International to supply the GRINNELL package of grooved couplings, fittings and valves, 2" through 12". Utilizing the GRINNELL mechanical package gave Feinman Mechanical a faster, more economical system to install in order to complete the project on schedule and within budget. In addition, Tyco’s industry leading 10-year warranty that is standard on GRINNELL products gave both Feinman Mechanical and the Plain Township local school board the assurance that they were using the highest quality grooved piping products available.
